And max armor IS needed...maybe not before the southern Shiverpeaks but what about the other campaigns? When you travel to Cantha or Elona, it's needed. Cantha travel puts you in Kaineng Center. You need max armor there, don't you?

You can't enter RA if you're below level 20, what are you talking about Age.

As for max armor, in NF and Factions you can get max armor when you need it. In prophecies you get max armor when you need it. But in prophecies you can skip half the game to get max armor and make things super easy.

My feelings, you should do it once the "proper" way, after that, it's up to you.
Actually desert collector armor IS max armor. you may not remember that but it is lev 70 armor for rangers and ect...

Also a very nice guide to achieve these is available from here as well.
http://guildwars.gameamp.com/guide/viewGuide/1129.php

and yes going to Elona or Cantha results in going to a town where you can get access to max armor very quickly right out of Lions Arch...

As to the arenas he was talking about. Yaks bend arena for sub lev 15 characters and ascalon arena for sub lev 10 characters.
NOT on the battle isles... Having MAX armor in those arenas it tantamount to cheating... That's why its often frowned upon when a lev 5 or even lower have max armor... Cause it gets abused in such areas more often then not, it seems...

Anyways Enjoy...

Oh and before you say it, yes its the correct levels for MAX for each class of character when you do it in the desert, so a monk is not going to get lev 70 armor all the sudden, don't worry... And your right its not really good for much but allowing you a starting point thats acceptable... for the more dificult areas. My personal fav is the 1k armors from kourna... Cheap and inscribable.. can't beat that...

Ingy...

I don't appreciate being called lazy...FYI, I have beaten the game. But armor is needed. Not my fault the only good max ranger armor is in the Southern Shiverpeaks. Max armor is more protection. If you don't think so, whatever. But that doesn't mean you have to bash me for speaking my mind. I live in America - freedom of speech.
Because it DOES NOT NEED TO BE DONE

you do not need max armor UNTIL Droknars. Simple as that. Arena Net does NOT LIKE RUNNING. If they were okay with it, why did they make the other two chapters nearly run proof?

and btw, you think we have free speech? watch this and tell me that.

Off topic but... my god... its full of stars...

All things I have known all through my life, never connected. never fully realized...

Makes one truly wonder, do we fight now with what we have learned, or do we wait till 2150 when it is too hard anymore to deceive us?

I have studied History, Economics, Business, Finance, Computer Sciences, Theology, Astronomy, Electronics, and never once before has 1 simple link to a webpage had so much to say to a man that has never found a direction in his life, and has now discovered why.

Makes one truly believe that you are better off putting a bullet in your own head now, then wait for them to decide to do it for you. But the question is what can we do?

In the end nothing... One can only have faith that whatever divine existence is out there that we have emulated in our mythos, theology, and entertainment would not allow creation to be so manipulated, that it utterly destroys existence. But could it? Indeed even if Earth blink out of existence tomorrow, what would that matter to all of creation? Could it be as simple as a game in a box we all play? A solar system wide MMO that is develop and interleaved within reality?

Indeed what would happen tomorrow if Tyria or Azeroth was suddenly and inexplicably gone? More then likely it would start again. The avatars of the prior age simply discarded, and used as a model for a new reality in a new system, with perhaps the same key players in control of the avatars alive in that new reality.

Could it be that when our lives so emulate that which we create, that we ourselves could be the creators of our own reality? And as such, are in the end, only avatars of the reality prior to our own?

I was able to do it under 20 at non ascended with 170 attribute points go over 10 consecutive wins. This is when it was off of LA not in The Battle Island.

To Lurch Anet is not against runners they just like to Nerf it and drive the good players away especially the best runners in the game,Why do you think Ladies of Blue Steel Runners Academy shut down.

I don't see what the problem with having an outpost in South of Lornar's Pass would hurt you try and go from Beacons with H/H out of.You won't get far as it is better to start from there to get your GMC from.

BTw. Prophecies is out of date as Factions and Nightfall ruined it.You should be ascended before you get to ToA as that is an ascension area. They are in Factions and Nightfalls version of it.

Then either use a runner who can make it or do the work required to get the skins you like.

Kaineng Center has max armor. For Elona you should be able to make do with LA armor until you reach docks (send the H/H's in ahead of you and don't enter combat yourself), or just grab someone ferrying you there from Kamadan.

You know how they can best solve the runner issue? Make Prophecies fun to play. It is so booooooring. Of course people want to skip it.

Very true. That's why I want ran for the max armor. Tyria has some of the best armors in the game but the story sucks. It's boring, too long, and has the most screwed-up storyline. Make it fun and I'd probably want to actually finish it on more than one character.

Why in the world did you just bump your own thread that had been quiet for 3 months? I mean... I can understand newbies who find old threads by searching and bumping them w/o realizing when the post was made... but you made this thread. Clearly you knew that this thread was old/dead.

Small point to be made: people who can get to LA and have Factions can go to Kaeneng Center for max armor, people who have NF can get armor after quests or get ferried, and people with GWEN or during trial can get max armor crafted at Boreal Station (as of this weekend).

Because playing the game NORMALLY will grant you max armour in time. I don't care if people can't run and take a shortcut if I can take the longway and still get it done with ease.

Judging by the comments in this thread, running is still a very easy task for the experienced ones. I believe that's all your friend lacks. You say it can't be done with the right skills. So you do admit it can be done if you have them. Why fix what isn't broken? That's what leads to a downfall in the first place.

Runners are not part of the game, hence the reasoning why Factions is purely closed off until you do missions, and Nightfall steadily and slowly lets you continue to new areas.

Gee why not presearing... its too hard to leave.. /sarcasm off...

Sorry. But with all the garbage about how hard GW is I have to say WTF are you playing? This game is SO freaking easy. Any 5 year old Moron can play Guild Wars. Seriously. Its not that hard. Its practically a single player stand alone game now. Any easier and thats what it will be. Might as well put it on Nintendo Gamecube.

The multiplayer aspect is what makes the game rewarding. but common. If you stick to primary or Missions only in Prophacies, Each campaign is complete in a matter of a weekend worth of playing. And thats just H/Hway. Its even less if you go with player allies helping you. I have done each campaign in a day.

And common Prophecies has full sections of the game that can be completly skipped with ease. Even by yourself.

Ascalon to Desert in about an hour running and doing 1 mission. If the runner has GWEN Drawf PvE skills then they can get you to Droks and fire islands in a matter of an hours time. Maybe 2 hours if they do not know the path as well as they should. (skips 3 regions of the game if you use a runner, though your gonna want LA eventually as well as ToA, so might as well use the method below Without runners)

Ascalon to Yaks Normally an easy skip.

do 2 missions in northern shiverpeaks (though you can run around them)

Beacons to LA, to ToA, to sanctum cay, do mission. (Wow skips a entire region of the game in this way)

3 desert missions, ascend, Easy Dragons lair, Droks 3 missions, Fire 3 missions done...

15 to 18 hours tops... Solid playing... Bang done. common thats not TOO LONG... 12 missions??? sheesh.. I will never understand you n00bs what the hell do you even buy a game for if your not planning on playing it?

Would you seriously buy a game that when you took it out of the box it was 100% done with everything you can get in the game already attained for you? The sad thing is Thats prob what some of you Idiot people want. Which I just do not get. What is the point if that is the case? Sit there with your wang in your hand and pleasure yourself as you watch the game play itself?

Personally I wanted Anet to block the gate in beacons perch till at least 1 character on the account finished the campaign. Then you do not get all these n00bs and Farming bots Cheating their way to max armor. BUT as we all know now, Max armor is attainable in any number of earlier locations, and in some cases even cheaper then in droknars. So that being said. I just think Anet has given Farming bots everything they need for say gold reselling from now to server shutdown with the cheap GWEN armors AND the New Special Condition while in GWEN.

If you can not attain At least 1 max armor now, then you are completly hopeless.

Running to skip missions is not supported by Anet. Do not removing the option is just a courtesy from Anet.

An unnecesary courtesy, by the way.

The problem with Prophecies is that IT IS EMPTY. It gets almost empty after Lion's Arch and completely empty after The Dragon's Lair. If Prophecies where 8-Player level 20 enemies from Lion's Arch, had challenges, some more quests and final Credits area with endgame green weapons (Shinning Blade set, for example) all this would be solved. Every mission should have an explorable version, with the elites you can capture in the mission, so people do not have to capture inside the mission. Ever explorable should have at least 3 quests that take place in there...

Prophecies also need 'primary quests required' changes to the missions. Travel anywhere by walking in the maps, but if you want to make a misison, you have to make the previous primary quests and missions.

I'd also close the southern door in in Beacon's Perch and put a dwarf that does not allow to pass anyone that hasn't been in Droknar's Forge.

It also needs reasons to go to places other than to get Carthographer. New quests or Treasures or something. In the other campaigns, after beating all missions and quests, you have at almost 80% of the map. In Prophecies you barely go over 60%.
